Keeping Kids Off the Streets
School in Israel typically ends at 1pm. Since many parents work long hours children are often left to fend for themselves during the afternoon and early evening. Shuvu provides diverse and stimulating after-school activities to its students as well as to students from other schools. Children are supervised in a safe, wholesome environment, and not exposed to drugs, violence and crime on Israel’s streets.
After school children enjoy creative activities such as: art, music, dance, computers and sports. Teachers are also available to help with homework for students seeking reinforcement.
Shuvu’s summer camp network offers thousands of Israeli children an unforgettable summer experience and is Shuvu’s most beloved program. Parents appreciate that their children are supervised during the long summer months and are engaged in fun and stimulating activities.
Summer camps are organized throughout Israel. A typical week includes sports, hiking, swimming, magic shows, musical programs, treasure hunts and water slides. Campers adore the special trips to museums, amusement parks, horseback riding, farms and exciting barbecues.
In 2010, thousands of children participated in our camps. Many participants were from other school networks. Every year, following the cherished “Shuvu Experience” many external campers register to attend a Shuvu school.
